A round of applause is in order for J.Cole. Why? Because Cole has proved he’s as charitable as they come. An old high school buddy decided to spread some good vibes Monday (August 31st) by posting to Facebook about a gracious deed the 2014 Forest Hills Drive artist didn’t want to brag about.

Matt Starks said Cole gave he and his wife great seats to his New Jersey show, and later described a conversation he had with a young girl sitting next to him. Via the post, Starks says the young girl didn’t pay a penny to see Cole because he flew her in.

As the two start talking, he learns about her circumstances. It turns out the girl in question is Cierra Bosarge, the fan who wrote Cole a letter thanking him for his music, and asking if he could attend her high school graduation. Not only did Cole respond, but he was there when Bosarge received her high school diploma.

For the third consecutive year, J.Cole is giving fans a chance to see him perform live for a mere $1.

The Roc Nation emcee took to Twitter Monday (June 15) to announce his Dollar And A Dream Tour III in which he will perform 2010’s widely-received  Friday Night Lights mixtape.

Presented by Puma, the 4-day tour, kicks off June 21st and will stop at Dallas, TX, Atlanta, Los Angeles and New York. Like the two tours prior, the location will be announced hours before showtime for fans on a first-come-first serve basis.

J. Cole can now update his discography with this stellar achievement. The Fayetteville native’s junior album 2014 Forest Hills Drive has hit platinum status.

The feature-less project dropped to fanfare in December, and has steadily climbed the charts and broke barriers every week.

His previous compilations, Cole World: The Sideline Story and Born Sinner pushed 735,000 and 720,000 units respectively, but his recent musical effort boasts over 1,000,000 copies, which includes streaming tallies as well.
