At the end of 2014, Nas hit us with a fly soliloquy with the J Dilla-produced track, “The Season.”  Recently, Dilla and Nas’ camp announced that Mass Appeal Records is releasing Dilla’s highly anticipated album, The Diary.

Since SXSW has the attention of the hip-hop world, Esco decided to use the famous music festival to premiere “The Sickness,” a song with Dilla. While “The Sickness” doesn’t have the best quality because of the live recording, you can still hear Nasty keeping it nasty.

There have been talks of Nas dropping The Lost Tapes 2 in the near future. Let’s hope so, because hip-hop heads can always use a Nas album.

It’s a major feat, and it doubled the previous record held by LeBron James when his jersey— the one he first wore when he returned with the Cleveland Cavaliers— sold for $50,040,  reports Sports Illustrated.

A man in Houston was sentenced to life in prison just hours after being convicted of child sex assault, according to KTRK.
David Wilson, 33, a previous sex offender, was accused of molesting two young girls, a 23-month-old and a 14-year-old.

Wilson was found guilty in 2005 of sexually assaulting a child and sentenced to four years in prison. And now, he has been found guilty again with the sex assault of two more children.

He was charged with super aggravated sexual assault of his toddler niece in an incident that happened in 2015 when the child’s parents sent the girl to live with family in Houston. Her parents reportedly had drug problems. The toddler was only 23-months-old at the time.

Afeni Shakur, mother of late rapper Tupac Shakur, is divorcing her husband of 12 years, Gust Davis. 

According to TMZ, the couple does not have a prenup and Shakur filed divorce papers in North Carolina where a judge isn’t required to divide property in half, but on case-by-case basis to determine what is fair.

Per the outlet, Davis, who is also a minister, wants the right to live on the couple’s 50 Acre North Carolina ranch, and also wants to keep the houseboat as well as his Jaguar.

Davis is also asking for alimony. It’s reported the Tupac estate earns close to $900,000 a year, but after expenses, Shakur takes away $20,000, and Davis wants half of that every month for the rest of his life.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Thursday, March 17, 2016 arraigned one Mohammed Gobir before Justice R. I. B. Adebiyi of the Lagos State High Court on a 17-count charge of stealing, forgery and obtaining by false pretence.

Gobir, 55, was arrested by the operatives of EFCC at his Ikoyi residence on the September 12, 2015 following a petition from an Outdoor Advertising Company, Afromedia.

The petitioner alleged that, Gobir was introduced to the Company by their Private Placements Consultants, Synergy Capital Advisory Limited sometime in 2008.

Upon his (Gobir) introduction, he offered to invest N1billion into Afromedia, a pretext that earned him a position as a Chairman, Business Development Committee on the board of directors.

The Code of Conduct Bureau has said there is evidence that the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, while governor of K‎wara State between 1999 and 2007, obtained huge bank loans and paid back the loans with funds belonging to the state.

The bureau alleged that Saraki used the bank loans running into billions of naira to acquire landed assets in Lagos, Abuja and London.

The Bureau said it gathered the information from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission which conducted investigations into various petitions written against the Senate President between 2010 and 2012.

‎The CCB’s position is contained in a counter-affidavit deposed to by one of its operatives, Peter Danladi, in opposition to a fresh motion filed by Saraki to challenge the validity of the 13 counts of false assets declaration instituted against him before the tribunal.

Frank Sinatra Jr, son of legendary singer and actor Frank Sinatra, died of cardiac arrest Wednesday (March 16) while on tour.  He was 72.

Frank Sinatra Jr’s longtime manager Andrea Kauffman said Sinatra died at Daytona Beach, Florida, hospital. Sinatra’s sister, Nancy, who also has a musical career, took to her Facebook page to share the news with fans.

Investigators at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said Monday they have uncovered evidence showing how prominent politicians, mostly from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, allegedly shared N3.145billion in the build up to the last presidential election.

Named in the alleged bazaar are a former aviation minister and director of media for the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign organization, Femi Fani-Kayode; former Secretary to the Government of the Federation and leader of the Social Democratic Party, Olu Falae; a former finance minister, Nenadi Usman; a former Imo state governor, Achike Udenwa; former minister of state for foreign affairs, Viola Onwuliri and politician Okey Ezenwa.

A source at the anti-graft agency, who pleaded not to be named because he was not authorized to speak on the matter, told PREMIUM TIMES the money was paid by the Central Bank Nigeria into the account of the Ministry of External Affairs Library, from where it was moved into the account of a private firm, Joint Trust Dimension Nigeria Limited.

Stacey Dash, who doesn’t hold back her controversial statements, post was published in reference to Trump’s rallies and the protests that have followed. Within her note, Dash listed the many reasons why she’s planning to vote for Trump if he receives the nomination, stating that “he’s not backing down” despite the opposition.

“There’s a lot of talk about Donald Trump being violent, condoning it, or at least inciting it. But this is a total misread of our next President,” she writes. “First of all, he’s not responsible for what every random guy does — out of thousands. #BBB NEWS| NDLEA Busts Major Methamphetamine Lab In Delta State, Arrests Four Mexicans, Four Nigerians [PHOTO]

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have uncovered a huge methamphetamine-making laboratory in Asaba, the capital of Delta State.

Officials of the agency’s Special Enforcement Team (SET) also busted the masterminds of the major drug trafficking organization when they arrested eight suspects, four of them Mexican nationals, four Nigerians.

The NDLEA stated that the suspects behind the syndicate were arrested in simultaneous operations in Lagos, Obosi, a town near Onitsha in Anambra State, and at the location of the lab in Asaba.

A statement by the agency, signed by Ofoyeju Mitchell, disclosed that the methamphetamine laboratory resembled those found in Mexico. It was the first lab of its kind to be discovered in Nigeria, the agency said.

One of the three deputy governors of the Central Bank of Nigeria is currently on suspension for being involved in ‘a sophisticated plot’ to defraud the bank a huge sum of money, findings have revealed.

Top officials of the CBN close to the development told SR correspondent that two directors of the bank were also suspended over the multi-million naira scam.

The officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to speak on the matter, said their suspension was ordered by the CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele after preliminary findings revealed that they might be culpable.

The CBN had on Thursday night said it had uncovered what it described as a highly sophisticated plot to defraud the bank by some people.
