Primarily cared for by his business manager, LaVerne Toney and personal assistant Myron Johnson, the singer’s estate – worth tens of millions of dollars – has been pointed to as a motive. Toney, who served as King’s power-of-attorney, was named executor of the estate, according to King’s will. Johnson was present at the time of King’s death.
