You discuss with your co-passengers. And of course, you ruminate about your destination. What you've heard, or read about the place, particularly if you were visiting for the first time. But first, due credit for this headline. 'A Passage to India' is the title of a literature text I read in the university some 32 years ago. It was a 1924 novel by the English writer, E.M Forster. The book was on the struggle for Indian independence from British colonial rule, and the book is today regarded as one of the 100 Great Works of the 20th Century by the Modern Library, while Time Magazine also includes it in its 'All Time 100 Novels' list.

A Passage to India. That was what I embarked on, alongside my principal, President Muhammadu Buhari, who was billed to attend the 3rd India-Africa Forum Summit, scheduled for New Delhi, the Indian capital, between October 27 and 30,2015.

Some call it the Buhari bounce. Others describe it as the Buhari effect. Yet some others say it is the Buhari aura. One thing is, however, crystal clear. Things have not been the same in the past 100 days in Nigeria, since Muhammadu Buhari assumed the presidency. A new sheriff has truly come to town.

Exactly 100 days ago, he climbed the podium at Eagle Square in Abuja and got inaugurated as president, 30 years after he had been toppled from power as military head of state. He promised to belong to nobody, and to belong to everybody. It is a pledge that still resonates loudly today, and will surely echo for a long time to come.

On a day like this, you would expect a presidential spokesman to chronicle the achievements of his principal in office. He has turned stone to bread, slain the dragon, and climbed Mount Olympus in ten seconds. But that is not what I want to do. There are some intangible, almost imperceptible achievements, but which run very deep, and are quite fundamental. Those are the ones I'll rather talk of, while we leave the tangibles till some other day.

#BBB NEWS| World Bank Pledges $2.1 Billion To Buhari To Rebuild Nigeria’s Boko Haram-Ravaged North-East

The World Bank unveiled a plan to spend $2.1 billion rebuilding the infrastructure of Nigeria’s northeastern region at a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday in Washington, DC.

The plan would tackle some of the infrastructure problems faced by residents who have been most affected by the attacks of Boko Haram, which is based in the area.

According to his spokesman Femi Adesina, President Buhari also stressed the need to incorporate into the plan the resettlement of the more than one million internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the North-East.

President Muhammadu Buhari has announced the first set of appointments into his administration. President Buhari announced on Sunday evening, May 31st, that Mr. Femi Adesina and Mallam Garba Shehu as his spokesmen.

 The announcement comes about 48 hours after President Buhari addressed the nation as President. Last week unconfirmed reports emerged in the media that Femi Adesina, former Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief of The Sun newspaper was to be appointed Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Buhari.

President Buhari officially stated that Femi Adesina will servce as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, as rumored. President Buhari also announced that Garba Shehu is appointed to be the Senior Special Assistant for Media and Publicity.
