#BBB NEWS| Drake & Future Lead 2016 BET Hip-Hop Award Nominations [FULL LIST]

The elites and critically acclaimed acts have made up the nominees for this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards. In light of his 3rd platinum plaque for Views, Drake has topped the nominations with 14. Some of the nods include Album of the Year, Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year and Best Hip-Hop Video.

Next up is Future with 10 nominations and Kanye West with eight. Chance the Rapper, Desiigner, Tory Lanez, Bryson Tiller, and Anderson .Paak all make their respective debuts to the awards show.

The event heads back down to Georiga at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in September. The show will air Oct. 4. at 8 p.m. EST.

#BBB NEWS| Judge Reportedly Grants Future Joint Custody Of Son With Ciara

Ciara and Future recently appeared in court to settle a dispute concerning custody over their 19-month old son. Although Ciara vied for full care, a judge ruled in Future’s favor for joint custody, TMZ reports.

The back-and-forth legal situation has played out in the public eye for quite some time since the former couple decided to go their separate ways in 2014.

In an interview with the Huffington Post, Future also said the reason they dissolved their union was because they just “grew apart.” The “Body Party” collaborators were engaged during that time.

#BBB NEWS| J. Cole, Future, Bryson Tiller Lead Epic Line Up For 2016 Wireless Festival [PHOTO]

What a time to be in London. The Wireless Festival just announced its 2016 lineup for its U.K. tour and from July 8-10, to say the least, the line up is pretty spectacular.

J.Cole, Calvin Harris, and Kygo are heading the 3-day festival, but it’s the feature acts that are making everyone want to hitch a trip to Europe this summer.

The first leg of the festival is kicking things off with a bang, featuring acts from Bryson Tiller, Miguel, and Vic Mensa.

And if you thought you were going to get a break on day 2, think again. A$AP Ferg and Future will rock the crowd just before J.Cole ignites the stage. And the final day will include acts from Kehlani, Young Thug, Jeremih, Vince Staples, and Ty Dolla $ign.

#BBB NEWS| Future Unveils His New Album Title, Cover Art And Track List [PHOTO]

Future has been relentless with his musical output for the past six to nine months, steadily giving the streets what they want and defecting on the alleged work ethic on some your favorite rappers.

Wednesday (February 3) Nayvadius took to Twitter to tease fans with more music that would drop precisely at midnight east coast time, and when the clock struck 12, Future made good on his word.

Hendrix took to Twitter to announce his new album Evol (which is love backwards) and the 11 song track list to go with it.

While fans can pre-order Future’s newest work, to hold you over until the actual album release, spin his latest work “In Abundance” below.

#BBB NEWS| Future Blasts Ciara On Twitter: “This B**ch Got Control Problems” [TWEETS]

It seems like Ciara and Future have not gotten the hang of co-parenting. The DS2 rapper took to Instagram on Monday (Jan. 4) to blast his ex-fiancee, calling her a “b***h” with “control problems.

Sharing that he pays a $15,000 a month in child support, Future claimed that he is being forced to go through lawyers to see their son, Baby Future. Writing that he has “ran outta patience,” he decided to take his grievances to social media.

The ex-couple had a drama-filled 2015, as Future revealed that their split was based on him not being “comfortable” with the media attention surrounding their courtship. As Ciara moved onto a new relationship with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, the rapper later expressed his discontent with the NFL baller spending quality time with Baby Future.

In an interview with The Breakfast Club, Future stated his thoughts on Wilson’s closeness to his son.

#BBB NEWS| Top 22 Music Collaborations That Rocked 2015 [PHOTOS]

In 2015, we saw the partnership of artists that we thought would only live on our personal mashup wishlists.

From Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill laying down the highs of their relationship with “All Eyes On You,” to Big Grams erasing genre lines to drop their sonically cohesive self-titled album, to the surprise bangers from Drake and Future, there were no limitations as to who would join lyrical forces.

With 2016 a few weeks away, there’s already speculation of who’ll put out a joint track or full-length project for the masses. Two names in particular, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar, reignited rumors in late November of their partnership on wax, which sent their legion of fans into a frenzy.

#BBB NEWS| Drake And Future Reveals Title, Cover Art And Release Date Of Their Mixtape [PHOTOS]

After taking the stage at Friday night’s (Sept. 18) Music Midtown festival to confirm that his mixtape with Future exists, Drake took to Instagram to share its title and release date.

Dropping on Sunday (Sept. 20) – the day he said it would – the project is titled What A Time To Be Alive. It is slated to drop at 8 p.m., on Apple Music of course.

The mixtape’s album art features a close up of diamonds, which may indicate that the two rapper are prepared to talk bossy on the upcoming project.

In conjunction with the release, Drizzy’s OVO Sound Beats 1 radio show announced a special Freebandz show, and has been postponed to Sunday at 6 p.m., serving as a perfect lead up to the sure-to-be-colossal drop. Peep Drake’s announcements below:

#BBB NEWS| Check Out The BET Hip Hop Award Nominees

Hip-Hop’s fiercest lyricists will come together for the BET Hip-Hop awards to see who will earn the crown, and who will go home empty handed.

The nominees were revealed Monday (September 14) with Drake and Big Sean leading with 12 and 10 nominations respectively. Future’s mixtapes Monster, Beast Mode and 56 Nights all earned the Future Hive leader nods for the “Best Mixtape” category, while Wale’s The Album About Nothing, will go up against Cole’s 2014 Forest Hills Drive, K.Dot’s To Pimp A Butterfly, Nicki Minaj’s The PinkPrint and Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.

The category which will cause the most debate is “Lyricist of The Year.” Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Big Sean, Drake and Nicki Minaj will all battle it out for the coveted award.

For the second year in a row, Drake has snagged the most BET Hip Hop Awards nominations. For the third time, Snoop Dogg will be hosting the festivities.

A suspected car thief had quite the surprise for the police pursuing her last night in Los Angeles.

The cops had thrown a spike strip in front of her car, but she was still able to operate it. Then she suddenly stopped, jumped out of her vehicle, and revealed herself to be a member of the FutureHive by dancing to Future’s Drake-featured DS2 hit ‘Where Ya At.’
