Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo, the wife of one of Nigeria's most respected politicians, Obafemi Awolowo died earlier today.

Mrs. Awolowo, who was 99 years old, achieved great fame and respect as a confidante of her late husband and custodian of his tremendous political and cultural legacy.
