The 2016 Billboard Music Awards produced a handful of show stopping moments on Sunday night (May 22) in Las Vegas.

From Rihanna’s memorable performance to a moving Prince tribute by Madonna — who also had Stevie Wonder join in — the evening was filled with big surprises.

We have to say the aforementioned tribute was our favorite performance of the evening. The Roots’ Questlove delivered an amazing speech about the Purple One. He then called one of the late musician’s collaborators — and a fellow musical icon to the stage.

“I want to take a moment to remember the great Prince Rogers Nelson,” said Questlove of the Roots before a moment of silence. “It can be a moment of silence, but inside our heads, it should be anything but silent.”

Madonna’s spontaneous – and awkward – planting of a kiss on the lips of Drake has been the talk of the Web since the rapper’s Coachella appearance on Sunday (Apr. 12).

The makeout session between the 58-year-old pop legend and 28-year-old rapper easily became the inspiration of a slew of memes, tweets and Internet commentary, but allow Drizzy to help you hold your horses.

After speculation that he was less-than-pleased with Madonna’s liplock, the 6 God took to Instagram to clarify:

“Don’t misinterpret my shock!! I got to make out with the queen Madonna and I feel [100 emoji] about that forever,” he wrote. “Thank you @madonna.”

As for Drake grabbing his mouth for dear life after Madge’s public display of affection, TMZ has chalked it up to her lipgloss.

Drake might have named one of the best song’s off his recent project after the legendary Madonna, but when it comes to getting physical with the OG in the game, Drizzy is NOT having it!

This weekend during the 2015 Coachella concert, Madonna and Drake hit the stage together to perform for the packed crowd. During mid-performance, the “Like A Virgin” star decided to grab Drake’s face, stick her tongue all the way down his throat, yell “I’m Madonna, b*tch!” and storm off stage. After she let go of her tight grip on Aubrey, he whipped his mouth in utter disgust and said, “Holy sh*t, what the f*ck just happened?!”
