Dennis Rodman stepped into CBS Sports’ “Reiter Than You” with Bill Reiter this past Monday (Apr. 4), to discuss this epidemic, using two of the critically-acclaimed “greatest” of their time, Michael Jordan and LeBron James, as examples.

Rodman got straight to the point, stating, “LeBron’s doing one thing that I always said that Michael Jordan never did. He never rested. He played every game. LeBron has the position to do this now, because they need him. The league needs him, and that’s why he’s doing all this crazy s*** now, like b******* and complaining…”

Respective to MJ’s impact on the league, now and during his prime, the Cav’s #23 is arguably the face of the National Basketball Association for the current era of basketball – or at least one of the faces. In this sense, former number 91 is correct.

#BBB NEWS| Michael Jordan Gives $5 Million To National Museum Of African American History

Michael Jordan gave $5 million to the National Museum of African American History & Culture, opening at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. next month. Jordan’s multi-million dollar donation was announced Monday, the Associated Press reports.

According to a statement from the NBA great, he was moved to make the donation in memory of four-time Olympic gold medalist, Jessie Owens, and other black athletes who paved the way for him and others.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to support this museum,” Jordan, 53, said in a statement. “I also am indebted to the historic contributions of community leaders and athletes such as Jesse Owens, whose talent, commitment and perseverance broke racial barriers and laid the groundwork for the successful careers of so many African Americans in athletics and beyond.”

The donation is the largest among given by an athlete to the Smithsonian, and will specifically aid in the museum’s exhibit exploring “how sports were used to break barriers as a way to gain full participation in American society.”

James who provided uncanny comedic relief in Amy Schumer’s Trainwreck, helped add more fuel to the rumors in July when his company SpringHill entertainment signed a deal with Warner Bros.

The original 1996 film starring Michael Jordan was a box office success earning $230 million worldwide. Yet despite the exciting news, many on Twitter weren’t too thrilled about the sequel.

From one basketball legend to another, Michael Jordan is wishing Kobe Bryant the best after his retirement from the NBA.

In a personal message played at the Time Warner Cable Arena on Tuesday (Dec. 29) before the Lakers faced-off against the Hornets, Jordan congratulated Bryant on his illustrious career.

He took a moment to remind fans of the 1996 draft that started it all.

“Most people don’t realize you were drafted by the Hornets,” Jordan said. “That connects us with you. I’ve always been like a big brother and you like a little brother.”

Acknowledging Bryant’s “competitive drive,” Jordan recalled his first game against the Lakers star, calling it “invigorating,” although the the “knowledge wasn’t quite there yet.” MJ also wished Bryant good luck in navigating his next undertaking, encouraging him to channel his competitive spirit into the next career he chooses. As for his mark on the sport, Jordan called himself a fan of Bryant, who he says has been a “big help” to basketball.

After announcing last month that he is retiring from the court, The Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant revealed the top five best players and teams that he’s come across during his 20 season career, ESPN revealed.

The top five acknowledged by the shooting guard during a conference call with 146 reporters spanning 24 countries Monday (Dec. 21) includes the GOAT Michael Jordan, followed by the stratospheric talents of LeBron James, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kevin Durant and Clyde Drexler. Bryant noted it was “hard to pick just five.”

He also said that the top five teams he’s ever played against during his time in the NBA are the 2000 Sacramento Kings, 2008 Boston Celtics, 2004 Detroit Pistons and 1996 Chicago Bulls and the San Antonio Spurs “almost any year.”

He also discussed other topics, such as how the Lakers should handle moving on without him next season and dismissing the possibility of a post NBA-career.

Even more than 12 years after playing his last NBA game, Michael Jordan still dominates the sports world.

According to an infographic by PBS, the basketball superstar made more money selling sneakers last year than he did during his entire 15-year playing career to become the highest-paid retired athlete in 2014.

Of the $34 billion the sneaker industry made between June 2014 and June 2015, Jordan's line of Nike Air Jordans raked in a staggering $100 million last year, topping the $94 million he earned playing for the Bulls and Wizards from 1984 to 2003.

It was reported in August that Jordan made $75.5 million from endorsement deals in 2012, which is more than any active NBA player. LeBron James, by comparison, made a league-high $44 million last year while Kevin Durant ($35 million) and Kobe Bryant ($26 million) rounded out the top three.

Yesterday, the International Basketball Federation announced that he will be inducted into their Hall Of Fame as well.

MJ the Goat! It is not too surprising that Mike will be inducted into the FIBA Hall Of Fame, it is just somewhat surprising that it took so much time for the federation to consider him. Michael Jordan was not only a successful player in the national league, but he was also a force internationally as well.

MJ played on team USA winning Olympic gold medals at Los Angeles in 1984 and then again in Barcelona in 1992. FIBA will be inducting MJ, along with 9 others, on September 19th.

Less than two months ago Jordan and Brady were seen playing basketball together in the Bahamas. This weekend they played golf.
