
The remake of the tragic scene of Brown lying face-down, surrounded by police tape serves as the centerpiece of a work titled “Confronting Truths: Wake Up!”
The artist behind the exhibition, Ti-Rock Moore, is based in New Orleans according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Most of Moore’s work centers around issues of race, with past works referencing white privilege, gentrification and sociopolitical inequality. She previously created another piece based on Brown titled “Black Angle,” featuring an upside-down, black, winged American flag with a portrait of Brown in the center:
