#BBB NEWS| Gov. Fayose, Omisore Got N3.8b Arms Cash, Says Detained Former Minister Obanikoro

Detained former Minister of State (Defence) Musiliu Obanikoro recently made more revelations on how the N4.745billion wired to a company linked to him by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) was shared.

The money comprised N4.685billon transferred to Sylva McNamara Limited and N60million ($5.77m) cash personally given to Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose by the ex-Minister.

Fayose issued a statement yesterday, saying Obanikoro’s return from overseas was planned to nail him. He did not deny receiving money from the former minister.

Obanikoro told Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detectives that N3.880billion was allocated to Fayose and Sen. Iyiola Omisore out of the cash.

He also said he handed over $5.377m cash to Fayose at Spotless Hotel, Ado-Ekiti in the presence of the former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Dr. Tope Aluko, and other party stalwarts.

#BBB NEWS| EFCC Traces N4.7b Arms Cash To Fayose, Obanikoro

 Detectives have traced about N4.745billion of the diverted $2. 1billion arms cash to a former Minister of State (Defence),  Musiliu Obanikoro and Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose.

The cash was sourced from the SAS Imprest Account of the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) under ex-NSA Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.) prior to the conduct of the June 21, 2014 Ekiti State governorship election, according to an Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) investigation.

Others linked with the sharing of the slush funds include Fayose’s associate, Abiodun Agbele (Alias Abbey); Mrs. Helen Olayemi Fayose; Obanikoro’s sons — Gbolahan and Babajide —  Ikenna Ezekwe; Sylvan Mcnamara Limited(a company allegedly  run by the Obanikoros); Spotless Hotel, owned by Fayose and De Privateer Limited, which is owned by  Agbele.

About 30 bureaux de change changed N759, 384, 300 (out of the N4.745billion) into dollars.

#BBB NEWS| Obanikoro Congratulates Ambode

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs,  Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, has congratulated the Governor-elect, Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, over his victory.

Obanikoro, whose son, Ibrahim, failed to clinch the Eti Osa constituncy 1 seat at the House of Assembly, had on Saturday accused the All Progressives Congress of intense rigging.

#BBB NEWS| Babajide Obanikoro Caught Bribing Constituents, Escorted Away By Police [PHOTO]

There have been citizen reports that Babajide Obanikoro, son of Musiliu Obanikoro and House of Assembly candidate was caught passing out cash to citizens at polling units in Eti-Osa, one of Lagos’s 774 local government.

After much contention from the electorate he was taken in by officials. Obanikoro was seen being escorted by policemen to the local station.
