#BBB NEWS| WATCH: Will Smith and Joel Edgerton Star In Netflix Original Movie, ‘Bright’ [VIDEO]

Among the many surprises during the Academy-Award ceremony Sunday night, (Feb. 26) was the action-packed new Netflix trailer for Bright, an original film which stars Will Smith and  Loving’s Joel Edgerton.

A 30-second trailer made its way to television screens during the 89th Academy Awards and left us all with questions. The original film, written by Max Landis, will be directed by David Ayer who directed Suicide Squad.

The sci-fi film depicts a world where humans are living amongst supernatural creatures.  An Orc cop played by Edgerton is seen partnered with Will Smith who plays a human cop as they make their way through the alternate universe.

Noomi Rapace, Edgar Ramirez, Ika Barinholtz and Kenneth Choi are amongst the other actors who will take on roles in the original film. The film is set to release on Netflix this December.

Netflix raised the bar again, just in time for the holiday season. The popular streaming service announced Wednesday (Nov. 30) catching up on shows will be easier with the introduction of the offline download feature, which allows you to watch your favorite shows without Internet access.

Now, whether you’re stuck on a long car ride or a tiring flight, Netflix has got your back.

#BBB NEWS| WATCH: Pablo Escobar Escapes From Prison In ‘Narcos’ Season 2 [TRAILER VIDEO]

Narcos, the acclaimed Netflix drama about infamous Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, drew significant coverage in the mainstream media when Roberto Escobar, Pablo’s brother, wanted to review the show’s second season to determine if the show was historically accurate.

However, it looks like the famed kingpin’s life story has not been dramatically altered for the sake of the television viewer.

The trailer for the second season of Narcos premiered online Tuesday (Aug. 23) and finds its main character as a wanted man by both law enforcement and the Cali Cartel.

For those eager to catch up on their binge watching, the second season of Narcos finds Pablo Escobar on the run from the Colombian authorities after his escape from prison.

#BBB NEWS| Netflix Is Coming To Nigeria

Netflix announced on Wednesday that it will be launching its streaming service in 130 countries.

Among the countries listed was Nigeria, a fact that has caused excitement and intrigue across the country. Netflix is one of the most popular on-demand streaming services in the United States for video, movies, and television shows.

Netflix announced that they would expand operations into Africa during the opening keynote address at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Other countries part of Netflix’s expansion plan include India, North Korea, Syria, Singapore, and Vietnam.

Netflix’s arrival to Nigeria has meant that domestic video streaming services such as Iroko, started by Nigerian entrepreneur James Njoku, are now facing increased competition.
