In a statement NBC's Director General (DG) Emeka Mba said that his organization effectively put an end to the radio station's illegal broadcast which has disrupted the peace of South-East Nigeria with obscene messages.
"The commision has also worked with other agencies to remove the transmissions of the illegal station room satellite, and this has put paid to the divisive and disruptive transmissions."
In a press release, DG Mba also acknowledged concerns that "the seditious activities of the illegal "Biafra Radio" transmitting hate messages that are unfortunately designed to create disunity among Nigerians and mislead young people in a deliberate act of subversion."
