#BBB NEWS| Jeezy Shares His Thoughts On Black Lives Matter & Politics On CNN [PHOTO/VIDEO]

Jeezy has always maintained a voice in the socially conscious realm, whether it was his 2008 hit “My President Is Black” or his views on police brutality. So it was only right that the Atlanta native shared his insight with CNN about pressing matters in the black community.

Following yesterday’s groundbreaking protest at the Mall of America, the “Put On” rapper dived into the occurrence with news anchor Don Lemon.

“I think that if it only took 20 people to get the attention of CNN and the rest of the world, I think they’re on to a great start,” he said. “I support the black lives matter movement. I think the mall could’ve handled it a lot differently because now you got this and it’s going to continue to grow as it should because now we got to raise awareness, and it’s the holidays and they’re still pushing this movement. You have to respect that.”

Jeezy is on album number eight. He’ll be releasing Church In These Streets on November 13, a stacked date that also includes Justin Bieber, Ty Dolla $ign, and Logic as the track listing surfaces.

The interesting thing about the 19 records is that Jeezy opts for no rap  features. R&B singers Monica and Janelle Monáe are the only guests.

This is different from all other album he’s constructed, but surely a move fans will enjoy since it means more Jeezy and less other rappers.  See track listing below:

A couple months ago, Young Jeezy made a return to music with his Gangsta Party mixtape. We now know it’s not the only Jeezy project we’re getting in 2015.

He just released a two-page letter which reads like a sermon, and which announces a studio album slated for November 13.

The first single, titled ‘God,’ is dropped late yesterday. Read the whole letter, which is signed “Pastor Young’ below.
