50 Cent’s legal gloom might be coming to a close. A Manhattan jury has ruled for the Queens native to pay $2 million in punitive damages for the unsolicited release of Lastonia Leviston’s sex tape, The Wrap reports.
The case was brought to court earlier this year with reports stating that Fifty was originally mandated to pay $5 million, but filed for bankruptcy.
Leviston’s lawyer Hunter Shkolnik also released a statement on the ruling.
“The jury saw through the lies and punished Mr. Jackson. We are so happy for Lastonia, she deserves this.” Leviston’s legal team reportedly called for 50 Cent to pay $15 million, but settled for $2 million.
