#BBB NEWS| And Another One: Adele’s ’25’ Reaches Five Million Copies Sold In The U.S.

Adele’s 25 hasn’t hit streaming outlets yet, but that hasn’t stopped fans from going back in time to purchase hard copies from their local CD stores. And fans are so dedicated to Adele’s craft, the British singer has hit an all-time high, selling over five million copies in the U.S. alone.

To only solidify Adele’s impact on the music culture, the “Hello” singer is topping her own record, which she maintained in 2011 for her album, 21 which was the first album to sell five miillion copies in a calendar year.

This news also follows her records broke for album sales around the world including Australia and the U.K.

#BBB NEWS| Adele’s ‘25’ Album Sells A Whopping 3.38 Million In Its First Week

Adele has officially sold the most albums in a week in Nielsen Music history. The beloved UK singer moved a whopping 3.38 million copies of 25 since its Nov. 20 release, edging out all other releases in the tracking’s history since 1991, Billboard reports.

The album has also become the first to sell three million units in a single week, and is the second to reach over 2 million copies since NSYNC’s No Strings Attached in 2000.

Adele was already projected to top NSYNC’s record of 2.42 million copies in its first week. 25 has also beat out Taylor Swift for the best-selling album of 2015; Swift’s 1989 previously held the crown at 1.8 million copies. The singer penned a thank you note to her fans after the album’s release.

#BBB NEWS| Even Adele Is Wondering What’s Taking Frank Ocean So Long To Release An Album

Adele’s return to music has been a grand affair. The UK singer-songwriter has willingly brought everyone who alleged to be out of their feelings, right back into their feelings with her debut single “Hello,” so much so it debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and broke all kinds of download and streaming records.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the Academy-Award winner declared that during her absence since 2011’s 21, she’s been somewhat out of the loop in regards to music and pop culture.

Aside from being a fan of FKA Twigs and admitting to sneaking into the Glastonbury festival to see Kanye West perform, Adele has been too busy raising her 3-year-old son, and said she doesn’t have much to say, which is why fans haven’t heard any new music from her.

“When I have nothing to say, I’d rather just not talk.” Adele said.

#BBB NEWS| Adele Announces Her New “Make-Up” Album, ’25’ [PHOTO]

Adele is finally making a comeback. The British songstress announced on Wednesday (Oct. 21) that her new anticipated album 25 represents a “turning point” in her life, that marks the transition she made into adulthood, as she lets go of her turbulent heart broken past.

In the candid and heartfelt Facebook post, she detailed how 25 will be a “make-up record” in efforts to let go of all the baggage that came a long with her 2011 chart topper 21. She also went onto to admit her personal battle with regret and wishing she was ahead of her present.

“When I was 7, I wanted to be 8. When I was 8, I wanted to be 12. When I turned 12 I just wanted to be 18. Then after that I stopped wanting to be older. Now I’m ticking 16-24 boxes just to see if I can blag it! I feel like I’ve spent my whole life so far wishing it away,”
she wrote. “Always wishing I was older, wishing I was somewhere else, wishing I could remember and wishing I could forget too. Wishing I hadn’t ruined so many good things because I was scared or bored.”
