#BBB NEWS| Nigerian Troops Clear Boko Haram Camp In Sambisa Forest, Rescue Hostages [PHOTOS]

Troops of 7 Division yesterday Tuesday May 17th, cleared Boko Haram terrorists out of their Njimia camp within Sambisa forest.

While advancing earlier in the morning on the same day, the troops also cleared Boko Haram terrorists camps at Alafa, where they encountered heavy resistance from Boko Haram terrorists and killed 15 of them.

The troops continued their advance through Alafa Main, Alafa Extension and Alafa Yaga-yaga, where they cleared remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists hibernating there before arriving at their main objective, Njimia.

Apart from destroying the camps, the troops rescued 41 hostages who were mostly women and children. The troops also recovered 2 Dane Guns, several vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles belonging to the terrorists.

#BBB NEWS| Nigerian Troops Sack Boko Haram Camp, Kill Insurgents In A Series Of Attacks [PHOTOS]

Troops belonging to the 113 Battalion of the Nigerian Army yesterday killed 40 insurgents and destroyed a terrorist camp run by members of the Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram, at Alajeri village in Guzamala local government area of Borno State.

In a statement, Nigerian Army spokesman, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, disclosed that the troops acted after receiving reliable information that Boko Haram terrorists were in the area

The statement disclosed that the troops also captured one General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), one rocket-propelled grenade 7, six AK-47 rifles, two Fabrique Nationale rifles, 10 magazines, 188 rounds of 7.62mm (NATO) ammunition and 64 rounds of 7.62mm (special) ammunition. The soldiers also recovered three mobile phones, six copies of Holy Quran and 20 motorcycles.

Colonel Usman described the soldiers as being “in high spirit” following the attack, adding that the troops suffered no casualty or injury.
