#BBB NEWS| Nigerian Troops Clear Boko Haram Camp In Sambisa Forest, Rescue Hostages [PHOTOS]

Troops of 7 Division yesterday Tuesday May 17th, cleared Boko Haram terrorists out of their Njimia camp within Sambisa forest.

While advancing earlier in the morning on the same day, the troops also cleared Boko Haram terrorists camps at Alafa, where they encountered heavy resistance from Boko Haram terrorists and killed 15 of them.

The troops continued their advance through Alafa Main, Alafa Extension and Alafa Yaga-yaga, where they cleared remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists hibernating there before arriving at their main objective, Njimia.

Apart from destroying the camps, the troops rescued 41 hostages who were mostly women and children. The troops also recovered 2 Dane Guns, several vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles belonging to the terrorists.

#BBB NEWS| 7 Terrorists Camps Destroyed As Additional 25 Women; Children Rescued [PHOTOS]

Seven additional terrorists camps were yesterday destroyed as more terrorists also died in the ongoing onslaught to flush them out of Sambisa forest.  An additional 25 women and children were rescued in the process. The troops who scaled series of land mines in continuation of the assault on the forest bases of the terrorists, captured camps which include the four notorious Alafa camps as well as those in Rogo Fulani, Laraga and others used as training camps in the forest. 

Various weapons including Rocket Propelled Grenades, Anti-Aircraft Guns and a number of vehicles were either captured or destroyed during the operation.  Four soldiers were wounded and have evacuated for treatment.
