The wait is almost over. After several months of productions and preparation, Coke Studio Africa season 3 is premiering this weekend on different partner Television stations.

With 26 artists 12 producers and 56 Mash-Ups! Coke Studio Africa season 3 is back with a brand new format, with electrifying Cyphers and Showcases.

Coke Studio Africa season 3 is one of the highly anticipated music projects on the whole continent with lots of excitement to look out for.

This season of Coke Studio Africa is unique. Viewer will be able to vote for their favorite Mash Up, which will go into Africa’s first Coke Studio Africa Album.

#BBB NEWS| Macklemore’s Trumpeter Arunga Mentors Bloggers At Coke Studio Africa [PHOTO]

Upcoming bloggers handpicked by Coca-Cola, Kenya and the Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE) got a rare opportunity to interact with Grammy-award winning musician Owuor Arunga on set of Coke Studio Africa.

Owuor, best known as Macklemore’s trumpeter, took time off his schedule during the Coke Studio Africa production to mentor the young bloggers for the “Billion Reasons to Believe” campaign. He said, “Whoever works the most – wins the most. Take things and create something out of it – that’s the Kenyan spirit. Full of potential, opportunity and great resource – that is what I call the African mind.”

Arunga added that possibilities are limitless, as he inspired the bloggers with his story of making it big. From a small town in Kisumu, he made his way to the USA to pursue further education and a career in music. “There are so many writers in Nairobi who are intellectually stimulated, it’s important to use your entrepreneurial skills additionally. It’s till untapped.”

The ‘King of Queens’ Yemi Alade Rocks Coke Studio Africa Collabos with Top Kenyan Acts.

Straight after being crowned the Best Female Artist in Africa at the 2015 MTV Africa Music Awards – “Nagode” and “Johnny” singer - Yemi Alade is back on Coke Studio Africa TV Show for a second time!

This year, Yemi has been paired with top Kenyan acts representing afro pop and genge gernres. She has collaborated with Jua Cali and Sauti Sol on the TV show - set to premiere soon.

Yemi Alade, still in Nairobi - Kenya, has worked on a Coke Studio Africa mash-up collaboration with Sauti Sol - successful Kenyan music group, who recently attracted international media attention after having President Obama dance to their song Sura Yako, during his visit in Nairobi.

Nigerian rapper Eva Alordia is on board for the Coke Studio Africa third season, Eva took over Coca-Cola Facebook Page to interact with her fans on a one-on-one basis.

1. Success


Despite her growing success, Eva says that she’s still on the toad to the top. “Its a funny thing, I knew this was gonna be a long ride,” adding, “I am having a thrill with and learning curves.”

2. Style

For Eva style is everything. It’s in how she dresses, writes and raps. “ I basically just try to stay true to me; to be myself with everything most of the time.” She reveals that Jesse Jagz is the only Nigerian male artist whose rap style she can relate to most. When it comes to commercialisation in music. I have come to understand that commercial is a relative term.. It depends on how you are looking at it.
