From the highliy interactive session, here are the 5 things you didn’t know about Eva:
1. Success
Despite her growing success, Eva says that she’s still on the toad to the top. “Its a funny thing, I knew this was gonna be a long ride,” adding, “I am having a thrill with and learning curves.”
2. Style
For Eva style is everything. It’s in how she dresses, writes and raps. “ I basically just try to stay true to me; to be myself with everything most of the time.” She reveals that Jesse Jagz is the only Nigerian male artist whose rap style she can relate to most. When it comes to commercialisation in music. I have come to understand that commercial is a relative term.. It depends on how you are looking at it.
3. Eva’s Music
At the tender age of 13, Eva fell in love with music. It was until she got to 21 that she started taking it up professionally. Her album will be out July 2015. She reveals that two producers on her upcoming new 1960 album and Chopstix won’t be among them even though he and Eva are working on something right fresh to be released soon.
4. On collabos
Eva discloses that she’s really into Burna Boy – musically speaking. “I am going to have to find out if he really likes me too so we could kill that collabo!” She beams. As a musician, she is inspired by Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Eminem, Sade Adu, The carpenters, Craig David, John Lennon and Don Williams.
5. Hobbies
When she’s not traveling or in the studio, Eva loves to work out, cook, write, do makeup, spend time talking to her dog Frankie and looking at the clouds. Her celebrity crushes are Vin Diesel and The Rock!
