Barbershop: The Next Cut will hit theaters on April 15, 2016. While fans will see familiar faces like E.V.E., Cedric the Entertainer, and Ice Cube, there are some newcomers; Common and Nicki Minaj.

Nicki took to Twitter to show off the film’s movie poster, which shows her representing her country right.

We’re finally seeing some progress from the upcoming Barbershop film. Over the past few weeks, we’ve received bits and pieces of information about the third installment of Ice Cube’s hilarious franchise.

It’s been a few weeks since the cast got together for the official reading. Now that they’re currently filming, Cube decided to give us the first glimpse of the cast on the set. Go behind-the-scenes of Barbershop 3 after the jump!

Yesterday (Jun 2), Ice Cube posted a photo of himself with Common, Cedric The Entertainer, and director Malcolm Lee on Instagram. The photo shows Common in his first photo appearance with Ice Cube and Cedric The Entertainer in full-Eddie gear while on set

The cast of Cube’s next feature film, like Anthony Anderson, Queen Latifah, and Kevin Hart, haven’t posted photos of themselves on set just yet. For those who know Cube well, you know he wasn’t going to go out like that! Once Cube posted the photo from the set, Common took it and shared it and now its trending everywhere.

Nicki Minaj might be your new favorite barber soon. The Queens raptress recently scored a role in the forthcoming film, Barbershop 3. Alongside Cedric the Entertainer, Ice Cube,  she will play the new feisty barber on staff, Draya.

Her character will reportedly be an employee of Regina Hall’s character, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The new film comes after more than ten years after Barbershop 2: Back in Business—the sequel to Barbershop— hit theaters in 2004. The two films combined made an estimated $140 million worldwide. Ice Cube, Common, Eve and Anthony Anderson will also be starring in the film’s reboot.

#BBB NEWS| Spike Lee To Reportedly Direct New Film Titled ‘Chiraq’ Starring Kanye West, Common, And More

Spike Lee is setting his lens on Chi-town for his next movie. According to The Wrap, the iconic filmmaker will direct a reel titled “Chiraq” which reportedly selected Kanye West, Common, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jeremy Piven to appear in the film.

Given the title of the motion picture, it might focus on the gun violence that continues to plague the Windy City and garnered worldwide attention with its staggering death tolls.

Although it’s unclear what the synopsis will be or when it’ll debut, it’ll surely be pivotal for the culture. The Oscar-nominated director also inked a deal with Amazon Studios as the film’s distributor.
