Singer-songwriter, wife and mommy Kelly Rowland can’t seem to sit still, which is why the 35-year-old has announced she’s launching a make up line for all women, but will pay close attention to the chocolate ladies of the world.

During a chat with ESSENCE, Rowland said she’s beginning her foray into make up with lashes and then will expand from there, doing her part to offer a wide range of options for darker toned women.

“My makeup artist Sheika Daley and I are actually starting a makeup line we’re making sure we make, well, we’re starting off with lashes and then we’re going to have it grow for all women,” Rowland said. “But definitely making sure we have our chocolate girls covered. Gotta get the chocolate girls in there! We have to have that, you know. I think Iman has done a beautiful makeup line and I want to do it too!”

Just in time for Women’s History Month, First Lady Michelle Obama has tapped Kelly Rowland, Missy Elliott, Zendaya, and Janelle Monae for “This Is For My Girls,” an anthem celebrating the strength and resilience of ladies across the globe.

The song, which will premiere on iTunes at midnight (Mar. 16), sees the superstars join forces with heavyweights Kelly Clarkson and Lea Michele and newcomers Chloe & Halle and Jadagrace in support of the First Lady’s Let Girls Learn movement and its #62MillionGirls initiative, a campaign purposed with helping the millions of preteen girls who are “denied the right to education” get in and stay in school.

Zendaya opens up the mid-tempo track before Kelly Rowland comes in on the chorus and encourages women to “Stand up, hold your head up, don’t take nothing from nobody.” Before the song comes to a close, Missy Elliott, who released her latest single “Pep Rally” last month, drops a hot 16 about ambitious, “next level” women everywhere.
