A South Korean newspaper has reported that the tyrant, who lives in luxury while his people starve, is recruiting beautiful young females to cater to his every sexual whim.
It is believed Kim disbanded the group who entertained his father Kim Jong-Il when he came to power in 2011.
But now Kim, who is married to singer Ri Sol-ju and has a daughter, has resurrected the tradition and sent out his officials to recruit "tall and beautiful" young women.
One source told Chosun Ilbo that the women are currently staying at the centrepiece Koryo Hotel in Pyongyang undergoing security training.
Kim junior apparently decided to resurrect the tradition when he was being treated for gout last year and was waited on by a phalanx of beautiful women.
Before he died Kim Jong-Il lived the life of a pleasure-seeking playboy, while overseeing the oppressive Stalinist regime.
He owned 17 palaces, including a huge complex in the capital Pyongyang, surrounded by fences, bunkers and anti-aircraft batteries.
By contrast, in February a woman who fled a North Korean labour camp revealed how she was forced to clean toilets with her bare hands while people ate rats to survive.
The murderous regime of the country is shrouded in secrecy but Ji-hyun Park has described it as "one big prison".
She spent a year in one of North Korea's notorious detention camps after being deported from China where she had escaped to because she feared she was starving to death.
Speaking to Amnesty International in a film called 'The Other Interview', Ji-hyun said: "Really it was unspeakably bad. You could say the whole of North Korea is one big prison.
"The people are all hungry. And now, there aren't even rats, snakes or wild plants left for them to eat."
Ji-hyun first left North Korea during a famine that ravaged the country in the late 1990s when four million people are estimated to have died.
