After having a slew of director replacements, and a hefty multi-million dollar lawsuit—Tupac’s biopic, All Eyez On Me finally has begun production. The making of the highly anticipated film came just in time, due to reports surfacing of a previous lawsuit from the late rapper’s mother, Afeni Shakur. The lawsuit claimed that the film could only gain the rights to Pac’s original music if the production took off within the time span of this year.
The good news was unearthed through a few of L.T. Hutton’s Instagram posts, which showcase a collage of photos featuring production meetings; film equipment; and a director’s chair. Hutton is a music producer and former A&R at Ruthless and Interscope Records, according to
Uproxx. He is working with Morgan Creek Films to produce the biopic.
