#BBB NEWS| Reporter Who Said “F–k It” On Live Television Faces 54 Years In Prison

Charlo Greene, the KTVA broadcast reporter who in 2014 went viral for saying “f*ck it” on live television right before she quit her job to run the Alaska Cannabis Club, now faces 14 offenses, which if convicted, she can be sentenced to 54 years in prison.

#BBB NEWS| Facebook & Instagram Shutting Down Marijuana-Related Accounts

Social media giants Facebook and Instagram have gone into overhaul by eliminating accounts that share information or products related to cannabis usage, The Guardian reports.

The business crackdown comes after retailers and marketing companies have existed on the sites for a number of years without breaking any laws.

More than likely, the aggressive campaign is another method to eliminate the war on drugs. Suppliers are have been able to take a new route (social media) to sell and distribute drugs within the past five years, taking the industry to a new level.

However, the tech giants’ new rules are directly affecting companies that exist legally like dispensaries based in Denver and New Jersey. Even apparel companies like StashTagz that sell cannabis-themed t-shirts got the boot. Many of the accounts that run said pages were locked out of their Facebook accounts. A client from the Cannabrand marketing agency received a message from Facebook suggesting to visit a drug counselor.

#BBB NEWS| (Literally): Company Encourages Employees To Use Marijuana While Working [PHOTO]

Marijuana is slowly getting legalized state-by-state (In the US) but it has not yet been passed everywhere. As for a company called Flow Hub, they feel that weed can help improve the quality of their employee’s work!

Co-founders Kyle Sherman and Chase Wiseman actually encourage their workers to partake in some marijuana fun while at work. Since the building is a smoke-free zone, their employees are encouraged to eat edibles and juices infused with the recreational drug.

“If it [marijuana use] helps our employees get work done, then we don’t care if they consume at work,” they explained.

#BBB NEWS| Snoop Dogg Has Officially Released His Own Line Of Cannabis, “Leafs By Snoop” [PHOTO]

Snoop Dogg has made a reputation for himself based on his affinity for the green leaf – besides being a talented rapper, of course. And now, he’s profiting from it in his new weed venture. 

The West Coast rapper has just launched Leafs by Snoop, a new cannabis line.

The Leaf merchandise are formed from eight strains (three sativa, four indica, and one high CBD strain) hand picked from the Doggy Dogg himself. Some of the names and flavors include “Tangerine Man” and “Lemon Pie.”

“Since I’ve been at the forefront of this movement for over 20 years now, I’m a master of marijuana,” Snoop told the press at an exclusive preview event on Monday (Nov 9) in Colorado. “So naturally, my people can trust that I picked out the finest, freshest products in the game. Let’s medicate, elevate and put it in the air!”

#BBB NEWS| A Judge Legalizes Marijuana In Mexico For An 8-Year-Old Girl

A judge in Mexico has legalized the use of medical marijuana for an ailing 8-year-old girl. Third District Judge for Administrative Matters Martin Santos allowed the family of Graciela Elizalde Benavides to use cannabidiol, a substance banned by the General Law of Health of Mexico.

According to El Nuevo Diario, The medicine will strictly be used to help her cope with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a disease that causes around 400 daily episodes of seizure, even while you sleep.

“It’s a breakthrough in our country because marijuana has been a complicated topic in our country,” the family’s lawyer Fabián Aguinaco said.

The medication is Benavides’ last resort after pursuing other drastic options such as split-brain surgery. Since the operation didn’t treat the disease, Aguinaco insists that if the government ruled against the medicine the young girl needs, they would be “violating various human rights” by allowing her to live in agony.

#BBB NEWS| Marijuana Can Heal Broken Bones, According To New Study

Weed has been known to help folks with diseases like glaucoma and MS. New research suggests it may also make bones heal faster.

Israeli scientists have discovered that if they give rats the non-psychotic marijuana component cannabidiol [CBD] the rodents’ broken bones heal faster, and their bones are also more resistant to breaks.

The researchers believe this is because of the relationship between cannabidiol receptors and the simulation of bone growth.

#BBB NEWS| Rapper Rick Ross Arrested On Marijuana Charge [PHOTO]

Rick Ross was arrested for a misdemeanor drug charge on Wednesday (June 10) in Fayette County, Georgia.

The MMG leader was taken into custody after authorities stopped him for a window tint violation, according to WSB-TV. When the officer opened the driver’s door of the Bentley, the side that the Rozay was seated, he reportedly smelled marijuana and physically searched the vehicle for the substance.

Atlanta Journal Constitution reports five blunts were found. TMZ adds that Ross gave the police permission to search the car when they asked.

#BBB NEWS| FYI, Morgan Freeman Approves Of The Legalization Of Marijuana

In case you weren’t aware, Morgan Freeman is a proponent of marijuana. Turning to cannabis as a way to cope with the pain of injuries suffered during a car accident in 2008, the celebrated actor praised its effects. In a recent interview with The Daily Beast, Freeman details how he was introduced to weed.

“My first wife got me into it many years ago,”
he said. “How do I take it? However it comes! I’ll eat it, drink it, smoke it, snort it! This movement is really a long time coming, and it’s getting legs—longer legs. Now, the thrust is understanding that alcohol has no real medicinal use. Maybe if you have one drink it’ll quiet you down, but two or three and you’re fucked.”

Comparing the effects of marijuana to that of alcohol, Freeman called for the legalization of weed with anecdotes from Woodstock. He also noted the medicinal benefits as an argument for making it more available to the masses.
