#BBB NEWS| Jay Z And Roc-A Fella Co-Founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke Shocked By Kanye West Rants

Kanye West is a vocal guy, so when he decided to get a few things off his chest at the Seattle tour stop of his “Saint Pablo” tour, many weren’t expecting he’d divulge the state of his relationship with his one time “big brother” Jay Z.

“Don’t call me after the robbery and say ‘How you feelin’? You wanna know how I’m feelin’? Come by the house… Bring the kids by the house like we brothers… Our kids ain’t even played together.”

There has been no official comment from Jay after the rant, however Roc-A-Fella co-founder Kareem “Biggs” Burke said Mr. Carter isn’t pleased with Ye’s latest rant. Biggs conducted an interview with Page 6 at his Reasonable Doubt pop up shop and said when he last spoke to Kanye, he spoke highly of Jay, but he isn’t sure of their relationship at this point.

#BBB NEWS| WATCH: Jay Z Shares The Story Of The Day He Met Kalief Browder [VIDEO]

After engaging in leisurely activities at a house party in the Bronx, one moment turned then-16-year-old Kalief Browder’s cheerful aura into a three-year gloom.

On his way home from that party, NYPD officers apprehended Browder thinking that he was a suspect for allegedly stealing someone’s backpack. After an interrogation where Browder pleaded his innocence, the justice system still sent him to Rikers Island where he awaited trial.

Unfortunately, the case never made it to the courtroom, and he spent more than 1,000 days in jail, 800 of which were spent in solitary confinement. Three years later, Browder was released in 2013 from Rikers after the charges were dropped, but took his life in 2015. Before his passing, Browder’s story was featured on the New Yorker, which helped to catalyze Spike TV’s forthcoming docuseries that will show footage of his life during and after Rikers.

The six-part program, which is set to air in January 2017, will be produced by Jay Z. During a press conference in New York City on Thursday (Oct. 6), Harvey Weinstein, whose film/TV company recently teamed up with the Brooklynite, shared that they’ve already filmed four episodes of the program. “Jay brought this project to us. As a team, we brought this to Spike,” Weinstein said.

“His story is an American story,” the “Empire State of Mind” rapper said to the room full of media personnel. “You’ll understand how many lives he’s touched, from every single comedian to rappers like Biggie Smalls.”

#BBB NEWS| T.I. Signs To Roc Nation & Gets Ownership Deal With TIDAL [PHOTO]

T.I. last album, 2014’s Paperwork, marked his last release through a major (Columbia). After leaving the label he gave us the independent release Da ‘Nic EP  as a warm-up to his forthcoming album, The Dime Trap.

Before that album arrives, T.I. is making some big moves. He recently announced a new distribution home with Roc Nation. Given his lengthy history with Jay Z, it’s a move that makes sense.

It was also announced that T.I. is now the “newest artist owner” of TIDAL. He joins a long list of artists who have part ownership, including Kanye West, J. Cole, Usher, Nicki Minaj, and more.

So, it seems we can expect T.I.’s 10th studio album to be a TIDAL exclusive like Rihanna and Kanye’s latest ones.

#BBB NEWS| Rita Ora Files A Lawsuit Against Roc Nation, Says She’s Been “Orphaned” By The Label

Rita Ora is ready to cut her ties with Roc Nation, and did so Thursday (December 17) by filing a lawsuit in which she claims to have been “orphaned” due to the label’s other business endeavors.

According to reports, the 25 year old singer-songwriter is seeking a declaratory judgment stating the contract she originally signed when she was 18 violates California law and cannot be enforced.

“When Rita signed, Roc Nation and its senior executives were very involved with her as an artist,” states the complaint which was filed in a L.A. Superior Court. “As Roc Nation’s interests diversified, there were fewer resources available, and the company suffered a revolving door of executives. Rita’s remaining supporters at the label left or moved on to other activities, to the point where she no longer had a relationship with anyone at the company.”

The lawsuit names Jay Z’s streaming service Tidal along with other pursuits as the cause for the lack of attention towards Ora’s career, and states a recent distribution deal with Universal that Ora claims to have been left out of.

#BBB NEWS| Diddy Discusses His Desire For A Jay Z Business Collaboration [VIDEO]

Year after year, two of the most powerful figures in the hip hop industry are Sean “Diddy” Combs and Shawn “Jay Z” Carter. Although they are both running enormously successful companies such as their record labels and outside projects, Diddy is a little miffed that he and Hov haven’t worked together on any business deals before.

Last Wednesday (Nov. 4), the media mogul spoke to Sway Calloway on his radio show “Sway In The Morning” to discuss possibly working on a business deal with Mr. Carter.

“Me and Jay – we’ve talked about it. We said we want to pick the best one,” said Puffy, according to AllHipHop. “It’s going to have to be that one thing that gets it all the way popping. For other people, it was DreamWorks. When DreamWorks happened, it made it okay for strong, visionary, idealistic leaders to get together and figure out how to navigate.”

#BBB NEWS| How Jay Z Helped Infuse D’USSE Into His Hip-Hop Empire [PHOTOS]

NEW YORK, NY - OCTOBER 20: General views of the TIDAL X: 1020 Amplified By HTC - Activations At Barclays Center Presented By D'USSE at Barclays Center of Brooklyn on October 20, 2015 in New York City. (Photo by Gustavo Caballero/Getty Images for D'USSE)

It was billed as the epic event of the year; a ridiculously lofty title that even within the razzle dazzle showbiz universe we live in can come off as pure, eye rolling hype.

But even if Tuesday’s (October 20) buzz-heavy, star-studded Tidal X concert at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center—headlined by Jay Z and Beyonce, and backed up by the roaring likes of Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, French Montana, Usher, Nick Jonas, Nas, and Lil Wayne—didn’t have extended set lists by these music mavens (all did one or two songs, yet the consensus is the head-banging, hair whipping Queen Bey stole the show), the sheer star power of it all was still impressive.

Yet for the thousands of fans who were a part of the fast-paced festivities, a chest-beating statement to celebrate 1 million subscribers of the Jay Z owned streaming music service Tidal, the nonprofit charity show featured an omnipresent brand throughout the main stage of the arena home of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets as well as behind-the-scenes: D’USSE cognac. Of course, this was by no means some ham-fisted advertising ploy.
