Willem Oosthuizen and Theo Martins Jackson, two white men, appeared in a South African court Wednesday (Nov. 16) where they faced charges of kidnapping and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm after footage showcased them forcing a black man into a coffin.

According to The Washington Post, the victim, Victor Mlotshwa, was walking one day when Oosthuzien and Jackson accused him of trespassing on a ranch. Before Mlotshaw could run away, the men forced him into a nearby coffin. As one man recorded the heartless and degrading incident, another threatened to pour gasoline on Mlotshwa and set him on fire.

In a short clip shared on Twitter by one of South Africa’s main political parties, one of the men can be seen forcing Mlotshaw’s head in the coffin as Mlotshaw begs for mercy. It’s unclear what happened afterwards, or how Mlotshaw was able to escape. However, with the video resurfacing nearly three months after the incident, (and being removed from YouTube) Mlotshaw now has a chance to pursue law with actual proof.

Former Abia State Governor Orji Uzor Kalu defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Mr. Kalu, who is facing trial by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a N3.2b fraud, was received at the APC headquarters in Abuja. APC National Chairman John Odige-Oyegun and members of the National Working Committee officially welcomed the former governor to the party.

According to Mr. Kalu, APC chieftains had been courting him for some time. He said they invited him to dinner at least twenty times.

“They had been on my neck, asking that I must come over to APC,” Mr. Kalu said. “The national chairman always buys me red wine.”

In the short video, the boy said to be a seven-year-old was caught while trying to steal people’s phones and money at Orile-Iganmu.

Another report alleged that the incident occurred at Badagry, adding that the child was not the thief but only attempted to stop three men who later fled.

Although it could not be ascertained where the incident occurred and what led to the mob action, the video, pictures of the incident showed blood gushing from the kid’s head as his attackers meted jungle justice on him.

After beating him up mercilessly, a tyre was forced through his head and he was burnt to death.

Efforts to get the information from those that originally posted it on Saturday proved abortive as it was discovered that the information has been deleted.

E! News reports that Janet Jackson will name her newborn after her brother Michael, who passed away in 2009 at the age of 50.

While the gender of the baby, Ms. Jackson’s first with husband Wissam Al Mana, has not been disclosed to the public, the site says that the name of the child will “have something to do with Michael Jackson.”

Jackson, 50, is reportedly “due very, very soon,” and is excited to become a mother. Due to doctor’s orders, Janet had to postpone her Unbreakable World Tour until 2017, where tickets for the original dates will be honored.

According to the site, “The doctors said she is doing well and [told her] just to take it easy. Janet is reportedly “relaxing around her place,” and she and her husband have finished decorating the nursery for their bundle of joy.

#BBB NEWS| Police Arrest 3-man Gang Plotting To Kidnap Businessman Femi Otedola [PHOTO]

Three men, including an official of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, have been arrested by the Police for attempting to kidnap a businessman, Mr. Femi Otedola. This was disclosed in a statement signed by Mr. Don N. Awunah, Force Public Relations Officer.

According to the statement, the kidnap attempt was foiled by the Inspector-General of Police's Intelligence Response Team (IRT).

The arrest, the Police explained, was achieved through coordinated intelligence gathering and deployment of technical investigative tools that spanned several weeks.

The principal suspect, according to the Police, is one Ikechukwu Daniel, a 28-year-old indigene of Imo State, who was rusticated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, for cultism during the in 2009/2010 academic session. Daniel also functions as the Information Technology expert of the gang. He was said to have made disclosures about their criminal activities in the South-West geo-political zone of the country.
