#BBB NEWS| Jay Z Becomes First Rapper Nominated For Induction Into Songwriter’s Hall Of Fame

Thursday’s Songwriter’s Hall Of Fame nominations were a historic one for the hip-hop community, as it was announced that Jay Z is up for induction into the Class of 2017.

This nomination makes the Jigga Man the first rap artist nominated for the honor in the history of the music organization.

According to USA Today, artists become eligible for a nomination after 20 years in the music business. Jay Z’s debut album, Reasonable Doubt, was released in 1996. Since then, he’s gone on to pen for Beyonce, Missy Elliott, Kanye West and Memphis Bleak and has won 21 Grammy Awards, among many other accolades and honors.

#BBB NEWS| Donald Trump Reportedly Made Obscene Comments About Toccara Jones’ Breasts

A former contestant from the second season of Donald Trump Presents: The Ultimate Merger claims Trump made outlandish statements towards the star of the season, model Toccara Jones.

In an interview with BuzzFeed News on Monday (Oct. 17), Elijah Connor said Trump would openly discuss the former America’s Next Top Model star’s body and referred to her breasts as “jugglers.”

“Here’s a guy who owns a billion-dollar company, taking a cheap shot at her breasts. I’m literally standing there shocked,” Connor said.“I think I just stood there in amazement, like, ‘Did this guy just say this?’ Literally, this is like how my little cousin talks, who is 12, and going through puberty.” Trump also admitted he wasn’t a fan of Jones as the star of the show by saying, “Ah, she wasn’t my first pick, but she slimmed down for the show.” Season 1 contestants vied for the affection of reality star, Omarosa Manigault.

#BBB NEWS| Gov. Fayose, Omisore Got N3.8b Arms Cash, Says Detained Former Minister Obanikoro

Detained former Minister of State (Defence) Musiliu Obanikoro recently made more revelations on how the N4.745billion wired to a company linked to him by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) was shared.

The money comprised N4.685billon transferred to Sylva McNamara Limited and N60million ($5.77m) cash personally given to Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose by the ex-Minister.

Fayose issued a statement yesterday, saying Obanikoro’s return from overseas was planned to nail him. He did not deny receiving money from the former minister.

Obanikoro told Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detectives that N3.880billion was allocated to Fayose and Sen. Iyiola Omisore out of the cash.

He also said he handed over $5.377m cash to Fayose at Spotless Hotel, Ado-Ekiti in the presence of the former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Dr. Tope Aluko, and other party stalwarts.

#BBB NEWS| Federal High Court Judge Ofili-Ajumogobia Busted In Fake Hospital Admission Scandal

A Federal High Court judge, Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, has been busted by detectives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in a hospital admission racket in Lagos.

Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia on Wednesday morning told EFC officials by phone that she was on admission in a Lagos hospital in Ikoyi to explain away the reason she could not respond to the anti-graft agency’s invitation for interrogation in the last two days. 

Five other judges, Mohammed Nasir Yunusa, Hyeladzira Ajiya Nganjiwa, Appellate Court Judge, Uwani Abba-Aji, Justice Agbadu James Fishim and Musa Haruna Kurya had in the past two days responded to EFCC invitations.  Some of the judges were accompanied by their lawyers and were reported to be cooperating with EFCC operatives investigating alleged corruption in Nigeria's judicial system.

Barely 24 hours after his detention, former Minister of State for Defence, Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro has implicated Governor Ayodele Fayose in the N4.745billion wired to a company linked to him by the Office of the National Security Adviser(ONSA).

The said cash was wired into the company, Sylva Mcnamara within seven months in 2014.

He said N2.23billion was transferred to Fayose out of the slush funds.

He said out of the sum, he handed over $5,377,000 to Fayose in cash and N1.3billion was received by the governor’s associate, Mr. Abiodun Agbele.

He admitted that the N1.3billion was flown to Akure airport in two chartered flights for delivery to Agbele.

The money was sourced from $2.1billion meant for arms from the Office of the National Security (ONSA).

Obanikoro, who opened up to EFCC detectives however said he is not the owner of Sylva Mcnamara that was used to transfer the funds to Fayose.

Reporters asked the elusive singer about the Vans sneakers he paired with his outfit, and also what he was looking forward to while in attendance. His answer?

“Asking Obama if he had fun these last eight years,” he told the cameras. “…And congratulate him, too.”

He was also asked a question about if he was supporting Hillary Clinton, and if he would do a concert to show his support. He said, “probably not,” and then concluded.

“We’re running out of time, I think. Might have to catch you in four years,” he stated before leaving.

With tonight’s (Oct. 19) final presidential debate hours away, the guest lists for Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have been revealed.

CNN reports Tump’s most questionable name on the Vegas list is Malik Obama, the older half-brother of President Barack Obama. Malik, who is Kenyan born, expressed interest in Trump back in July with an official endorsement. “He talks from the heart, and what he says makes sense, he’s not a phony, and I can’t stand phonies,” Malik said to “radical” journalist Charles C. Johnson. “If people are going to come here and blow up the country, then you’ve got to stop it,” he added about refugees.

#BBB NEWS| Bobby Shmurda Sentenced To Seven Years In Prison After Revoked Plea Deal

Just after being officially sentenced to seven years in prison Wedsnday morning (Oct.19) Bobby Shmurda, is regretting the terms of his plea deal.

The New York Daily News reports the rapper immediately retracted the plea deal he accepted last month to benefit his GS9 brethren Rowdy Rebel Flea Montana. Once the gavel banged, Shmurda refused to sign any required waivers and documents.

“I was forced to take this sentence. I don’t want to take this sentence,” Shmurda said. As his frustrated lawyer Alex Spiro stood alongside him in the courtroom, Bobby turned to Spiro and said, “I want to drop my plea and fire you … Why are you telling me to waive my rights? I am not waiving my rights.”

Days before his court date, Shmurda pleaded guilty to conspiracy in the fourth degree and criminal possession. According to the deal, Shmurda would spend seven years with time served behind bars. Today, the judge announced the sentence for one count of one count of conspiracy and one count of weapons possession along with five years probation.
