A 15-year-old girl took to social media to show an incident that occurred while she was in school. The girl, who goes by ‘annifaras’ on Instagram shows a cop manhandling her.

#BBB NEWS| WATCH: Kobe Bryant Responds To Rumored ‘Inside The NBA’ Job [VIDEO]

Given that Kobe Bryant has retired from the game of basketball, the former Los Angeles Laker still plans to stay away from the sport’s spotlight for a little bit following his response to a certain question that’s been brewing on the sports circuit for a while now.

TMZ caught up with Bryant outside of an event when they asked him if he’s joining TNT’s Inside the NBA. With a sly smile, Bryant simply said, “No.”

Headlines also surfaced that Bryant was training Shaquille O’Neal’s son, Shareef, who plans to follow in his father’s large footsteps. “I love teaching everything I’ve learned,” Bryant said in response to serving as a counselor to the 16-year-old.

#BBB NEWS| Labor To Review Strike Action Next Week - NLC President

The President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ayuba  Wabba, has said the organisation will, by the middle of next week,  review the indefinite nationwide strike action it declared on Tuesday night if the government is willing to open more windows of dialogue. He made this known on Thursday morning while speaking on  Political Platform, a  Ray Power FM programme, which was monitored in Abuja.

Wabba explained that the NLC leadership will convene another meeting to review and assess the impact of the industrial action and see if the government will change its decision to raise the pump price of petrol to N145.00 per litre.

The NLC President described as untrue the speculation that the organisation has been invited to another round of talks with the Federal Government, saying the NLC and the government ‎maintain the positions they held before the strike.

Drake remains on a winning streak following the success of Views. The Toronto native’s current soundscape was received with mixed reviews, and was more than a success on the charts. Now, this recent news speaks to the album’s prowess.

According to Billboard, Drizzy was named Spotify’s “all-time most-streamed artist” following the release of Views. The project reportedly sold over 1 million copies following its debut on Apr. 29.

The project features guest spots from Future, Rihanna, dvsn, PartyNextDoor and more. Production was mainly handled by Noah “40” Shebib, who was a fan favorite for his nostalgic instrumentals.

Macklemore& Ryan Lewis are having some serious beef – on the dance floor that is. The rap duo teamed up against Idris Elba in a loony dance battle in their “Dance Off” video that might rival the moves of Kanye West and Drake.

“I challenge you to a dance off,” Idris Elba mouths while wearing a luxurious fur, frock and American Gangster-like hat. “Hands off; no trash talk; no back walk, or the black talk. Just you, me, that’s all. No cat-calls, no tag teams, no mascots; right now…” he continued before flashing over to Macklemore.

The four-minute video cuts to the rapping pair as they battle literally everyone. They dance in the hotel, at wedding ceremonies, and even in the gym. To say the least, the video is a fusion of awkward and funny.

“Dance Off” is coming from Macklemore’s This Unruly Mess I’ve Made LP, which dropped back in February 2016. Check out the video below.

Continuing its outreach for diversity, Twitter announced its newest member to the board of directors, BET’s CEO and Chairwoman Debra Lee.

The 61 year old Harvard Law graduate will be one of three women on the board, and the only African-American.

#BBB NEWS| Nigerian Troops Clear Boko Haram Camp In Sambisa Forest, Rescue Hostages [PHOTOS]

Troops of 7 Division yesterday Tuesday May 17th, cleared Boko Haram terrorists out of their Njimia camp within Sambisa forest.

While advancing earlier in the morning on the same day, the troops also cleared Boko Haram terrorists camps at Alafa, where they encountered heavy resistance from Boko Haram terrorists and killed 15 of them.

The troops continued their advance through Alafa Main, Alafa Extension and Alafa Yaga-yaga, where they cleared remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists hibernating there before arriving at their main objective, Njimia.

Apart from destroying the camps, the troops rescued 41 hostages who were mostly women and children. The troops also recovered 2 Dane Guns, several vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles belonging to the terrorists.

#BBB NEWS| WATCH: Snoop Dogg & Seth Rogan Light Up Seven Joints During An Interview [PHOTO/VIDEO]

Seth Rogan enjoyed more than a few joints with Snoop Dogg on Tuesday (May 17) while promoting his latest film, Neighbors 2.

The comedian who’s film hits theaters May 20, chatted with Snoop about the premise of the sequel which focuses around a sorority lead by Chloe Grace Moretz and Dope star Kiersey Clemons. The session consisted of seven joints and the reveal of where most of the pranks in the movie come from, YouTube.

“We’ll look at things people do to each other and then we’ll put it into the movie,” Rogan says in reference to the infamous airbag prank in the first film. “We use dummies, but it’s hilarious and I’ll be the first to say it.”

Snoop commended Rogan on the writing of the first film and actress Rose Byrne’s clever comedic timing. Rogan assured that the sequel is just as witty with plenty of surprises for fans. “I think it’s just as good as the first one, which is great,” he said.

After debuting a tribute track to the late Prince, The Game continues to honor the “Purple Rain” musician’s legacy with a huge painting of the global icon.

According to TMZ, the Compton native purchased a portrait created by artist Madsteez of the Purple One for $65,000, which reportedly took him more than 100 hours to finalize. “My man @losangelesconfidential hit me just after @prince had passed to pay homage to the K!NG of PURPLE,” the artist wrote on his Instagram account.

Netflix is listening to its audience and the nation’s obsession with Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman by joining forces with Univision to produce a drama all about the Mexican drug lord.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the drama El Chapo will be co-produced by Netflix and be a part of Univision’s original programming.

The series will air on UniMas in 2017 and to Netflix subscribers exclusively in the same year. The show will seemingly tell El Chapo’s come up and the formation of the Sinaloa Cartel. It will more than likely cover his drug wars in Juarez, Mexico, his growth in the U.S and his infamous escapes from prison.

#BBB NEWS| Judge Reportedly Grants Future Joint Custody Of Son With Ciara

Ciara and Future recently appeared in court to settle a dispute concerning custody over their 19-month old son. Although Ciara vied for full care, a judge ruled in Future’s favor for joint custody, TMZ reports.

The back-and-forth legal situation has played out in the public eye for quite some time since the former couple decided to go their separate ways in 2014.

In an interview with the Huffington Post, Future also said the reason they dissolved their union was because they just “grew apart.” The “Body Party” collaborators were engaged during that time.

#BBB NEWS| Bill Cosby And Hugh Hefner Sued In Sexual Battery Case

A model by the name of Chloe Goins has re-filed a sexual assault case against Bill Cosby, and Hugh Hefner is also being sued by Goins for conspiracy, sexual battery and gender violence among other charges, since the alleged assault occurred at the Playboy Mansion in 2008.

Vulture reports, “Goins, who was then 18, claims that Hefner introduced her to Cosby, illegally served her alcohol and possibly other substances, and told her to “lie down” in a bedroom when she appeared ill.”

The lawsuit states that Hefner’s actions of “inviting and hosting young and impressionable and possibly minor children at his residence, and providing alcoholic beverages and or foreign substances was negligent at the very least.”

#BBB NEWS| N5.6bn Fraud: Ex-Gov Kalu Faces Fresh Charge

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday, May 16, 2016 filed an amended 34-count charge against Orji Uzor Kalu, former Governor, Abia State.

He is being tried alongside his company, Slok Nigeria Limited and the state’s ex-Director of Finance in the State House, Udeh Jones Udeogu before Justice Anwuri Chikere of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Kalu and his co-accused are being accused of diverting the state’s funds to the tune of N5.6 billion while they were in office between 1999 and 2007.

Kalu, Slok and Udeogu were first arraigned on July 27, 2007.

Upon their arraignment in 2007, the defendants had challenged the competence of the charge up to the Supreme Court, but los as the apex court ordered them to submit themselves for trial.

#BBB NEWS| Senate Withdraws Anti-Social Media Bill

The senate has withdrawn the controversial frivolous petition bill, known as anti- social media bill.

The red chamber announced the decision at plenary on Tuesday after David Umar, chairman of the senate committee on human rights and legal matters presented his committee’s report at plenary.

Umar, an All Progressives Congress (APC) senator from Niger state, said his committee recommended the withdrawal of the bill based on the strong opposition to it across the country.

The bill was sponsored by Bala Ibn Na’Allah, an APC lawmaker from Kebbi state.

The anti-social media bill imposed harsh penalties for tweets or text messages that conveyed statements considered untrue from a group of persons to an institution of government.

#BBB NEWS| Fuel Price Hike: NLC, TUC To Go Ahead With Strike Despite Court Order

Despite an order of the National Industrial Court restraining the Nigerian Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress from going ahead with their planned strike to protest the hike in price of petrol, the strike will go ahead as planned on Wednesday, labor officials have said. The General Secretary of the NLC, Peter Ozo-Eson, on Tuesday night told PREMIUM TIMES that from all indications the strike would go on as planned.

On the meeting with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, earlier convened to attempt to broker a last minute truce on the matter, Mr. Ozo-Eson said the meeting was yet to hold at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

“There was no resolution yet. We are just going for the meeting now,” the NLC scribe said on telephone interview. “We have been meeting on our own on matters that are important to us. It is clear the strike will go ahead as planned,” Mr. Ozo-Eson told PREMIUM TIMES on telephone on his way to the venue of the meeting.
