#BBB NEWS| Spike Lee To Reportedly Direct New Film Titled ‘Chiraq’ Starring Kanye West, Common, And More

Spike Lee is setting his lens on Chi-town for his next movie. According to The Wrap, the iconic filmmaker will direct a reel titled “Chiraq” which reportedly selected Kanye West, Common, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jeremy Piven to appear in the film.

Given the title of the motion picture, it might focus on the gun violence that continues to plague the Windy City and garnered worldwide attention with its staggering death tolls.

Although it’s unclear what the synopsis will be or when it’ll debut, it’ll surely be pivotal for the culture. The Oscar-nominated director also inked a deal with Amazon Studios as the film’s distributor.

The names slated to appear on the screen also have separate projects currently happening or in the process of being wrapped up. Piven is gearing up for the release of his film Entourage, while Common is still riding high off the success of his Oscar trophy for “Glory” in Selma, West appeared in Anchorman 2, and Jackson is preparing for his role in Avengers: Age of Ultron
