Earlier this week, Ludacris announced on Instagram that his screen resume will grow. He will join Ryan Seacrest as the Executive Producer of a new CBS series called “The Down Beat.”

It will chronicle a business mogul who recruits at-risk high schoolers for an Atlanta marching band. Hit the jump to learn more.

Paul Downs Colaizzo will write the show. Meanwhile Luda and Seacrest will executive produce, meaning they have the final word on creative decisions. No air date exists just yet.

Luda already touched the screen in Crash, Hustle & Flow, American Hustle, and the blockbuster hit Fast & Furious 7.

Meanwhile, Ryan Seacrest produces The Kardashians’ shows and basically the entire E! network.
