Fans of Martin Lawrence have seen the fame comedian bring the laughs on memorable films such as Martin, Blue Streak and Big Momma’s House. Aside from that, the comedian also drew the laughs on his eponymous ’90s sitcom.

However, it looks as if everyone’s favorite funnyman is taking his comedic hi-jinks back to the one place where it all started: the stage.

According to Shadow and Act, Martin Lawrence is set to host an eagerly anticipated stand up special, appropriately titled Martin Lawrence Doin’ Time: Uncut

The stand up special, Lawrence’s first in 14 years, will be filmed at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. In terms of topics, Lawrence will broach hot-button issues trending in the mainstream media such as Bill Cosby and Barack Obama, as well as issues such as sex and relationships.

Martin Lawence Doin’ Time: Uncut will air  Friday, September 9 at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
