#BBB NEWS| ‘The Fresh Prince’ Cast Keeps James Avery’s Spirit Alive During Touching Reunion [PHOTO/VIDEO]

One of TV’s greatest families has reunited, leaving us wishing for the old days. On Monday (March 28), the cast of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air spent a little time soaking up the sun at Malibu, California’s Nobu and took a fun group photo fans would gawk over.

Just a few weeks after Will Smith’s bungee jumping video went viral, the actor enjoyed the company of good friends Alfonso Ribeiro, Karyn Parsons, Tatyana Ali, Joseph Marcell and Daphne Reid. “Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family,” Ribeiro captioned the photo. “Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete.”

Avery sadly passed away in 2013 after complications from open heart surgery. He was 68-years-old. While some of his voiceover roles in animated series like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Iron Man hold much acclaim, Avery will always be remembered for playing TV dad, Phillip Banks.

Ali, who gave birth to her first child Edward Aszard Rasberry last year, shared the same sentiments about the late actor who played the wise and strong-minded Uncle Phil. “A wonderful afternoon today with family. We miss you James,” her caption reads. The tight-knit cast has always found a way to make their frequent reunions special. In 2013, Smith invited his son Jaden, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Ribeiro to The Graham Norton Show for a melody that included portions of the show’s theme song and Tom Jones’ “It’s Not Unusual” which is the only song anyone should break out the Carlton dance to.

At least we have reruns, right?
