Veteran rapper Snoop Dogg is taking on a new venture in his expansive entertainment career. The Cali native will showcase his mentoring skills in a new program that focuses on the youth and football.

Set to premiere on May 1 on AOL, Coach Snoop will span over the course of nine episodes and will introduce viewers to young talent on the football turf and how the D-O-double-G plans to help them create opportunities to thrive outside of their communities.

“There’s more to the world than just those four blocks that they live on,” he said. “This is what great men do. We don’t do it for the money, we do it for the love.”
