Her post was written on Oct. 8, a day after a video from 2005 surfaced in which Trump and former Access Hollywood host Billy Bush engaged in a conversation regarding Trump’s attempt to sleep with a married woman and being able to get away with kissing and touching women inappropriately. Since the tape’s release, several Republicans have rescinded their support of Trump, including Rice, Sen. John McCain and Gov. George Pataki of New York.
During last night’s (Oct. 9) second Presidential debate, moderator Anderson Cooper attempted to get Trump to speak on the controversy. However, the question was deflected and excused as “locker room banter.”
“Certainly I’m not proud of it. But this is locker room talk.,” he said while trying to shift the answer into how to defeat ISIS. “I have great respect for women. Nobody has more respect for women than I do.”
