In a lawsuit filed by the former Death Row Records CEO, Knight alleges he had a lifetime contract with Dre so when the Beats By Dre deal came about and Apple paid $1 billion, Dre supposedly had to shell out $300 million to his former business partner.
Not wanting to pay up, Knight alleges the shooting at 1Oak nightclub back in 2014 was a hired hit. Yet despite the facility having 37 cameras no arrest were made.
The suit also claims the LAPD questioned a man named T-Money about the shooting and he told investigators Dr. Dre paid him $50,000 to kill Knight. The 50-year-old was shot seven times in the stomach but miraculously survived.
Knight’s recovery allegedly proved to be a problem. In January of 2015 while on the set of the F. Gary Gray directed Straight Outta Compton, Knight claims Dre upped the ante and paid Cle “Bone” Sloan $300,000 to kill him, which brings everything to modern day. Knight apparently inured Bone when he struck him with a car, and killed Terry Carter when he ran over him. Knight maintains his innocence and says Carter’ death was an accident because he was attempting to escape an ambush.
Suge is suing Dre, Apple, Universal and Tam’s Burgers in Compton where the car incident occurred for unspecified damages. Since the deadly hit-and-run, Knight has been in jail facing 30 years in prison for a host of charges.
