#BBB NEWS| Tyler Perry Snags Leading Role In ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2′

Tyler Perry, best known for his theater stage plays featuring Madea, the southern, gun-toting firecracker grandmother, is returning back to the big screen, but this time, as a lead character.

Perry will play Baxter Stockman in Paramount’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, the scientist who’s responsible for creating the Mousers who made his debut in the original “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” comic book and later appeared in the 2003 and 2012 animated TV series.

The character was briefly portrayed by Kelvin Todd Freeman in the 2014 film.

Perry, who played top-notch lawyer Tanner Bolt in the box office hit Gone Girl, will join Megan Fox and Will Arnett, who will reprise their roles from the original.

TMNT2 hits theaters June 3, 2016.
