Howard claims that he signed the documents due to fear of Ghent ruining his career, as she was black mailing him with sex tapes in order to get more alimony.
Howard brought his sister-in-law to court as the first witness to these allegations.

Yvonne Howard, Terrance’s sister-in-law, testified today in court that Michelle claimed she “had him [Terrence] by the balls,” and admitted to having a tape that featured Howard having sex with a woman while another woman filmed them.
Ghent was blacking mailing Howard with this tape in order to receive $5,800 a month for 3 years even though the couple was only married for one year.
Terrence told TMZ photogs that he only hopes for justice when it comes to this case and then talks about Mariah Carey’s upcoming role on ‘Empire’.
