Alongside the artist/actor, Damon Dash, Birdman and Jermaine Dupri will also star in the forthcoming program.
The eight-episode feature will follow the daily happenings of famed stars, and how they maintain a level of balance between family and work. The show is set to air in 2016.
Recently, the D-O-double-G made headlines for inking a deal to feature his youth football league through AOL’s digital platform.“Mentoring kids through SYFL means more to me than anything else I do,” Snoop said.
“It’s my way of continuing to connect with the communities that move me. I get to know kids and parents with great spirits from all over, and it becomes something far beyond football. It is important to not only be a football coach to these kids, but to be a life coach as well. It’s our way of sharing a life together. This series will finally give the world a chance to witness the stories, talent, and commitment SYFL represents in the same way I do.”
Uncle Snoop will also host this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards, set to air on Oct. 13. Performers also include Diddy, Lil Kim, Kid Ink, Future and more.
