#BBB NEWS| Faith Evans Speaks About Biggie Smalls’ Death With ‘Los Angeles Times’ [PHOTO]

“It was a whole lot of fun, I’m not going to lie. Everyday was something different,” said R&B singer Faith Evans of the label Bad Boy Records in a piece for the Los Angeles Times entitled “Bad Boy For Life.”

The article aimed to be retrospective, looking back on the music and controversies surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs’ empire.

Evans, who was married to Combs’ best friend and legendary Bad Boy MC the Notorious B.I.G. until his death in March of 1997, noted she does not blame the label for the “senseless” murder of the “One More Chance” lyricist.

“The only way you can look at it is tragic. Tragic and senseless,” she told the publication. “But I don’t think that situation was the result of being in the music business. It’s a little deeper than that. I think all the things that came with it definitely added to the hype of things. The whole media element, and people being able to say what they think and not be accurate.”

She also discussed how she thinks Tupac Shakur, who was killed a year earlier in a similar fashion, was also unjustified, but that she doesn’t blame anyone for anything.

“But the bottom line is it was two senseless tragedies that were the result of people not being good people. I can’t say the music business is the reason why. Losing my husband [is] something I think about every day. But I don’t blame that on Bad Boy — at all.”

It’s clear that the first female singer signed to Bad Boy has no anger towards her former label, noting she left the musical entity because she felt like she wasn’t getting as much despite how hard she was working. She also performed with members of the OG Bad Boy squad, including Diddy, 112, and Lil’ Kim at the 2015 BET Awards this past June.
