#BBB NEWS| Sean 'Diddy' Combs Set To Launch Charter School In Harlem

Just when you thought Diddy has dabbled in enough, he continues to prove you wrong. The hip hop mogul is reportedly opening a charter school named Capital Preparatory Harlem Charter School in his hometown of Harlem, New York.

The website for the school reads the school will offer “year-round college preparatory education” for 160 6th through 12th graders beginning in the fall. The deadline to enroll your child in the school is April 1.

The Associated Press says the school will be overseen by Dr. Steve Perry, the founder of Capital Prep Magnet School in Hartford, Con., and the principal of the school will be Florida-based educator, Danita Jones. Rolling Stone also reports

“The school’s board includes Dr. Iyanla Vanzant, the author and spiritual life coach who has worked frequently with Oprah Winfrey, and Reverend Georgiette Morgan-Thomas.”

The school is located in East Harlem, in the same building as El Museo Del Barrio and Museum of the City of New York.

Diddy said that launching the school is “a dream come true.”
