The Nawlins’ native shared an image on his Instagram account of him and Apple’s head of content, Larry Jackson. Jackson shared the same image, welcoming the newest signee to the team. “Check one off of the bucket list,” Jackson wrote. “Signed as an R&B crooner to Ca$h Money yesterday. My life is oh so complete now.Welcome to the fam @birdman5star. Tough negotiator. Much respeck.”
The documentary will chronicle Birdman and his record label, Cash Money Records, according to Billboard. Sources also report that the one-off deal will not affect other deals with Cash Money artists such as Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, who have both been affiliated with Jay’z Tidal.
There isn’t too much information on how the documentary will be distributed, but this deal will definitely be a good look as the service continues to expand its television and film mediums.
