#BBB NEWS| OMG!! WATCH: Police Man Caught Body-Slamming 12-Year-Old Latina Girl [PHOTO/VIDEO]

Just days ago, video footage of a Texas cop body-slamming 12-year-old middle school student Janissa Valdez was shared on YouTube.

The clip, with over 2 million views now, shows the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) police officer with his arms tightly wrapped around the girl, before he lifts her in the air and throws her face down onto concrete floor. Student bystanders yell “oh” in unison upon impact.

“Janissa, you ok?” one witness asked. “She landed on her face!”

The officer has since been placed on administrative leave and is currently under investigation for using excessive force. Meanwhile,Valdez was suspended for two days after the incident.

“We will not tolerate excessive force in this district,” said SAISD spokesperson Leslie Price on GMA, “but I can also say that we need to find out all the details as to what occurred. The video is very concerning.”

Valdez admits that she was arguing with another peer moments before the officer appeared. “I still couldn’t believe that he had done that do her,” said Valdez’s mother. “She told me ‘I wasn’t fighting, why did he do that?'”

The incident, seemingly isolated, could be viewed as part of a bigger problem. The Washington Post compiled a record of every fatal police shooting in the nation in 2015, and “a hugely disproportionate number — 3 in 5 — of those killed after exhibiting less threatening behavior were black or Hispanic.”

In early June of last year, McKinney, TX Officer David Eric Casebolt was caught slamming a black teen girl in a bikini and pinning her down with all his body weight. The incident raised questions about racial bias and aggressive policing.
