#BBB NEWS| Twitter Adds BET CEO Debra Lee To Its Board Of Directors

Continuing its outreach for diversity, Twitter announced its newest member to the board of directors, BET’s CEO and Chairwoman Debra Lee.

The 61 year old Harvard Law graduate will be one of three women on the board, and the only African-American.

Other board members include PepsiCo vice chairman and chief financial officer Hugh Johnson, along with tech entrepreneur Martha Lane Fox.

Lee’s appointment no doubt breaks up the the all white boys club known in Bay Area Tech firms. No word just yet on the initiatives Lee may bring to the Twitter table, but the fact that she’s sitting there is a great thing.
