#BBB NEWS| Miguel Talks Frank Ocean: ‘I Genuinely Believe I Make Better Music’

Nearly a week after the release of his third studio effort, Wildheart, Miguel is kicking up dust once more after a recent interview with The Sunday Times. When asked about his relationship with fellow R&B crooner, Frank Ocean, Mig said they were “cordial” at best.

“I wouldn’t say we were friends. To be completely honest — and no disrespect to anyone — I genuinely believe that I make better music, all the way around,” he said. “It’s interesting, but we’ll see who’s in it for the long haul. It’s like a marathon, you know?”

In 2013, Miguel (as well as Chris Brown) passed on giving Ocean a standing ovation after both lost to Frank’s channel orange for the Best Urban Contemporary Album at the Grammy Awards.

While Miguel offered Ocean a belated congrats for the TMZ cameras after, he says he wouldn’t have changed a thing. “I’m competitive,” he said.

R&Beef aside, Miguel will rock out for his Wildheart tour at his upcoming stop in L.A. on July 8.
