Breezy went on a mini twitter rant and had this to say: See the tweets after the jump!
“I have nothing to do with anything going on right now. I came back to Manila to do a make up show for New Years. I did the show 3 days ago”
Then continued to tweet:
“This is a very serious situation and someone needs to be held accountable for mixing my name up in all this. I’ve done nothing wrong!!!”
Philippine authorities say they are investigating a fraud complaint against Brown and his promoter, John Michael Pio Roda, lodged by Iglesia ni Cristo, or Church of Christ.
The politically powerful church group claims that Chris,failed to perform at a New Year’s Eve concert last year at one of its arenas. They even say he was paid in full for the concert, $1 million dollars.
So whats going on over in the Philippines? Is this all just a major mis communication? All I have to say is #LetBreezyGoHome
He arrived on the island nation earlier this week, and played a show in its capital city of Manila on Wednesday. Then he was supposed to fly to Hong Kong.
However, Filipino officials will not let him leave, because they say he owes Iglesia ni Cristo, a powerful religious organization on the island, a million bucks for skipping out on their New Year’s Eve show last year.
Brown said he wasn’t able make the scheduled Dec. 31 appearance because of passport issues.
On Instagram today, Brown posted a video with him on his knees and begging to be allowed to leave.
“Obama!!!!!” Chris Brown wrote in the caption, even though Breezy is about the last person the President would intervane on behalf of in an international dispute.
