As reported by Billboard, the 2014 Forest Hills Drive artist collaborated with Jackson in a LA studio about two weeks ago, and the single should hit the airwaves Thursday.
Jackson’s solo version of “No Sleep,” which will not appear on the album, leaped to Number 5 on Billboard’s Adult R&B airplay charts, making it the icon’s first top five song in more than a decade.
Janet, who won BET’s first ever Icon award, recently tweeted a photo out with friends at Cole’s show, but gave no mention she’d be collaborating with the Roc Nation artist.
The singer’s new album will be released via her own Rhythm Nation records and soon will embark on her Unbreakable World Tour.
