#BBB NEWS| Hundreds Of Shiites In Public Protest In Kano, Want El-Zakzaky And Others Released [PHOTO]

Hundreds of members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, popularly known as Shiites, on Mondayprotested against the arrest of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

The protesters trooped out to the streets of the ancient city after converging at Fagge mosque, and marched through Ibrahim Taiyo Road, Radio Kano, and IBB way.

The marchers comprised men, young children and women holding different placards with various inscriptions calling for the immediate release of ShiekZakzaky.

The leader of the protesters,  Mallam Sani Malfaaddressed the crowds at Kofar Mata after three hours of protesting.

"We demand immediate release of Shiek Zakzaky,” he said. “And we want him to be released for him to be treated by doctors of his choice over the injuries he sustained."

He said the Islamic Movement also wanted the immediate and unconditional release of the bodies of those that were killed, as well as those who are in detention.

“Members of the Shiites are also calling the authority to allow us to see Shiek Zakzaky for us to know his condition eye to eye,"
he declared.
