In a new interview, he revealed how he was fuming when he was ‘misquoted’ saying that Idris Elba was not right to play Bond - saying even Sean Connery was a disappointment’ because he was Scottish.
The former Bond, 88, said: “I didn’t like it when I was misquoted as saying that Idris Elba would not be right to play Bond, implying that I was racist.
“I am sure he is a splendid actor - in fact I know he is - but he doesn’t typify what Ian Fleming had in his mind.
“I think even Sean Connery was a disappointment, being a Scot.”
Moore also said he is worried he will have his “head chopped off” for revealing he thinks the Queen has “beautiful legs”.

Proving it is not just his on-screen counterpart at Her Majesty’s service, the 88-year-old named the monarch as his dream dinner date.
Sir Roger, best known for portraying the womanising secret agent during the 1970s and 80s, said he once admired her legs as she boarded a plane.
Speaking in an interview for Event magazine, he said he made the observation at a Unicef campaign.
He said: “We met many times but I remember I met her at a Unicef campaign and she was mounting the steps of a 747 plane in front of me.
“I couldn’t help but notice that she had beautiful legs. I will probably get my head chopped off for saying that.”
Moore revealed how he kept his socks on during a love scene with Jane Seymour in 1973 flick Live and Let Die.
He said it was his most embarrassing moment, adding: “When I filmed Live And Let Die with Jane Seymour, I kept my socks on in bed as it was such a cold set.
“It doesn’t do to have freezing toes in a love scene.”
