Kramer was the lawyer representing Wayne in his efforts to be released from his Cash Money Records contract.
According to the lawsuit, Lil Wayne agreed to pay a $20,000 initial retainer and subsequent monthly bills in July 2013. But Wayne failed to pay his bills according to Kramer’s suit. Kramer’s law firm continued to bill Waynefrom November 2014 to October 2015. Kramer ultimately dropped Wayne as a client this past September due to Wayne’s debt.
In the lawsuit, Kramer says he “made numerous attempts to resolve the dispute amicably. These attempts were ultimately unsuccessful.”
This is not the first time Lil Wayne’s own legal team has sued him either. In October, the law firm Garbett, Allen and Roza sued Wayne for $80,000 in unpaid legal fees. This firm was representing Wayne in a lawsuit brought against him by the Signature Group, a company that leases private jets. Wayne lost the lawsuit and was ordered to pay the company $2 million.
This led to art being seized from Wayne’s Miami Beach house and the rapper putting his skate park up for collateral as he took out a $1.5 million loan to pay the Signature Group.
