According to reports Etheregde was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on Friday and by Saturday morning she was induced. This is the sixth child for Brown and the second he has with his wife of three years.
The couple also have a five year-old son Cassius. A name for the baby girl has not yet been announced.
The joyous news comes during a sad time for the Brown family who are preparing to say goodbye to Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter Bobby Brown shared with the late Whitney Houston.
Bobbi Kristina has been in hospice care for several weeks, months after she was found unconscious in the bathtub.
